About This Game
Chinese Chess (Xiangqi) is a classic strategy game from Chinese culture. Each side commands 16 pieces on a 9×10 board; checkmate the opponent’s general to win. Play vs computer or local two-player.
How to Play
- Red moves first. Players alternate turns.
- Tap a piece, then tap a destination square; legal moves are highlighted.
- The general stays in the palace; elephants do not cross the river; horses, cannons, and chariots follow traditional rules.
- In vs-computer mode, choose Red or Black. Checkmate wins the game.
